Couple of 1500D's in My Trunk

Recommended Posts

Very Nice :)

I digg the huge port on that boxx, what is the CF of the box ?

how many Sq Inchs is the port ? Freq ? :woot:

Box is 8.5^3 @ 38Hz with 136^2 of port area. I went a little big on the port so I could change tuning and not lose too much port area. I can just make another panel the same size as the right port wall, but 20" long for a 35Hz tune. Slide it into place and add a few screws to hold it in. Make sense?

My single HD was at 35Hz, but so far the 38Hz tune seems fine for all the stuff I listen to.

Got a lot of listening time today and I must say that I'm rather impressed & happy with my set up. Getting the XT25's on-axis really woke up my front stage and the remote gain knob is the best invention ever for a sub stage.

Gain is set on the amp, so I just dial it back via the remote on certain songs and it blends nicely. Then when in the mood for some serious kick I crank it back up and that big grin appears again.

1500D's are performing flawlessly and at FULL tilt I get very slight dimming at best, and that's with the AC on.

AWESOME amps!!!!

That is so badass man, loved the new install. Just clean and functionally as a good audio system should be. Very nice!!

Thanks, that's EXACTLY what I was looking for. Function first and then decent looks. I'm not a "show" guy, so no reason to kill myself trying to make it look purdy...

looks good man, I kind of went a little more extreme, but that was because of my class in NSPL. Wait until you guys see the new setup, it's going to be insane to say the least.

From that picture it looks like you cut out your rear deck and widened the trunk whole.

Yep, it's all gone.........

The rear deck has been rebuilt for the new setup, but I'm not entirely happy with the fitment, so I think I'm going to redo it again. It's mostly grill cloth now, but still has some bracing under it to give the back window some strength back.
