Wiring options for 100.2

I should be able to wire up my 100.2 to the RL-i8 DVC 4 in the next few days, and I just wanted to make sure I understand all of my options. When I was talking to denim about the 100.2, I think he mentioned that I could bridge it and then wire the RL-i8 in series at 8 ohm. He says the 100.2 pushes out more than it's rated for (500W bridged?). Even at 8 ohms, 250W should be enough to drive the sub for daily SQ use.

Unless I'm mistaken, shouldn't I also be able to wire it in parallel at 2 ohms for the full 400-500W? I would just as soon leave it in series and let the amp run cooler, providing it can push the sub adequately, but I wouldn't mind trying the higher output just for fun. Thoughts or suggestions?

I do not believe the 100.2 is stable to 2 ohms bridged.

Correct, the 100.2 will not handle a 2 ohm bridged load. It is 4 ohm stable in bridged mode, or 2 ohm stable in stereo mode. Your only option for stable wiring on the 100.2 is 8 ohms bridged.
