Need a bassrace woofer ... open for opinions

Recommended Posts

I have a sundown 1500d and stock electrical right now ... and it probably wont change to much

im looking into getting into bassracing ... ive heard a little about it but i want some information on it ... possible box/woofers/etc.

i have a focus hatchback so i know its capable of hitting solid numbers with the vehicle...

i really have a budget for woofer and box .... around 400 dollars ...

if you could alittle help would greatly apprieicated, thank you fellas

lol@ chapter2..

but he's right, go big. since there isn't a woofer limitation in bassrace, go as big as you can. teh more cone area you can stuff in teh car, the better. with roughly 1500wrms, i'd go with something that is fairly close to maxing out at that power level. a 15" bl, 15" L7, 15" mojo are three subs off teh top of my head. if you can squeeze an 18" version or something in there, go for it.

or go the other way..lots of smaller subs. but go for the max cone area you can for the money.

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

I have a 15" BTL on a 1500d and I hit a 147.4. With stock electrical system. @2ohm!

Run a dual1 @ .5ohm and I'm sure it'll wang harder.....lots harder!

I vote BTL
