1500d makes subs make popping noise

Recommended Posts

I have been running my 1500d for about a month now. It was working perfectly until about 3 days ago. I hadnt been in the truck or anything for 2 days, and then i go and get in it and as im driving the subs are making a popping noise. I have been trying to figure out what the problem is, and i dont think it is any of my wiring. I have figured out that the popping only happens when the amp is shook or tapped on or of course the truck bounces or something while im driving. The amp works fine except for when this happens, which is frequently. Im thinking it might possibly be something loose in the amp or something. Let me know if you have a possible solution.

Try a different RCA cable to see if that helps.

Also make sure that the speaker wire connection in the box is still connected tightly.

Where is the amp mounted?

Sounds like you mounted the amp on the box or on a area not suitable for it ,Or your rca's need to be changed out Try the v10. Tsunami RCA's (pretty good stuff).Last try a continuity test on the ground and read the ohms should be 1 or 0.

Hope this helps. :fing34:
