I have really tried in the 29 pm's over the last 24 hours.

It would be cheaper to run the single 100.4 for your set up, and the MB Quarts are a better set of speakers for your doors.

The Sundown 100.4 and SD-1's for amp and subs is a very good option money wise. The MB Quart speakers are a strong choice also.

You will be hard pressed to find that quality of equipment for near that price.

That is such a wide open question. It all depends on the shop and what they carry and how bad their mark up is. I fell Kicker/Orion/RF/Crystal are a few companies with great options that some shops would carry. But none are cheap.

If you buy at the shop it will be WAY more money. The Sundown is sweet as for speakers it is pretty subjective anyways. You should go with what you like.

For anyone that is confused... I have a small woofer that is launching in the next few days called the "SD-1" which is a single 8 ohm driver available in 10" and 12" sizes with a $110 and $125 MSRP respectively (lower at dealers when quoted). More information is coming soon... I've been quiet about these ones since when I announce products ahead of time I get 20 PMs each day asking me if they are in yet :)

Anyway... more info soon.

Here is a suggestion for sub/ amps / components:

You need to figure out what your budget is . do you want loud spl(loud) or sq(fidelity)?

for loud try SAZ 1500 AMP w/ L7 12" kicker should run around 1k

for sq try SAZ 1500 w/ DD 2512 /or ID max should run around the same price

for component / amp sax100.4 w/ any good name brand component set that fits the bill and have the shop set it up with a scope.

There are 1 million ways to get what you want but you need to find one for yourself . :slayer:

Here is my suggestion to you. Go to the shop. Take a cd with what your going to listen to with you. Play it in the same deck, same amp, just switch different speakers. Listen to each type of speaker and figure out what your ears like. Remember its not exactly how it will sound in a car, but its better then nothing.

IMO you can spend 5K on a component set that everyone says is awesome. But if your ears don't like then your out the money, so it who cares what stuff you do buy.

Also some other points of interest, take more then 1 type of music with you. Also, play it low, medium, and hi, volumes see how the speakers handle it.

ALSO VERY IMPORTANT MAKE SURE THE EQ ON THE DECKS ARE OFF and there is no bass boost so you hear more about the speakers and less about the deck unit.

Hope this helps. I know it might seem dumb but its really what sounds about its not about the equipment in your trunk (GRANTED SOME EQUIPMENT IS KNOWN FOR BEING chit) but its more how it sounds to you.

Get the amps mentioned. Go to the shop with those brands in mind, then ask to hear what they have. Ask for a demo, and buy what sounds best to you. The focals would be a nice choice, or mb quart if they have it. Just see what you like.

I was recommended CDT because they had a bit less of a harsh sound than what I had before. I found out I didn't like that, and should have demo'd things before hand. Make up your mind for yourself, so you aren't upset someone with different tastes sends you in the wrong direction.

^edit^ took so long to post the above hadn't been posted yet, I agree 100%.
