Scrapin' the Coast '07

just wanted to know if anyone from here was goin to scrapin the coast in biloxi, ms at the end of june. 23-24 curious to see how many fellow Fi'ers will be there. me and the crew are going, im sure there will be another SPL show like they had last year. my truck will be finished being bagged by then and i should have sub ready too. ill deffinitely be entering the SPL comp.

but pretty soon after that im going to "texas heat wave" in austin, tx.

its about the biggest car show, etc., in texas.

im gonna jump in and see what kind of numbers i can caugh up with my BLs...

ill be there. wont be getting metered, but i should have the Q in my hardbody by then.

oh, and biloxi is that place other than new orleans that got wiped off the map by hurricane katrina. for those not knowing.

yeah we had a blast last year even though all kinds of chit was destroyed from the hurricane. im sure itll be better this year if they rebuilt

just checked your car doamin page, your truck looked familiar and i remember i seen you at the old Tunes building for a test and tune show.

im pretty sure it was part of the USACI events that year. triple crown event maybe? or something to that affect. if im not mistaken, usaci held the spl event. there were alot of entries last year, i placed like 12th out of 17 in my class. some classes had like 25 ppl in them. but if u enter an event u can park inside the show instead of walik ten miles, thats why im entering the comp. set up a ezup and BBQ off my tailgate.

nah i only had a w3 10" sealed in my truck as a sq system my friend kept trying to get me to test it, but i didnt even waste my money.

it was probably, 3 months before tunes moved off veterans, it was really cold out. october or november 06.

there new building is so much nicer, and bigger they just need to build the show display. they have manny fresh's ferrari f430 on the show room floor right now

i seen mobile 1 having a show about 2 weeks ago but i dont know which mic they used, i didnt even attend.

i know ppl at both locations as i work for a bodyshop and we do cars for both shops every now and then

yeah i went to that mobile one show. i didnt run becuz my btl was blown. but all my buddies ran. they all won in their class. they all had FI subs it was an A/C mic.

yeah i went last year. hope they have the same stuff at the dragstrip, i.e. stripper pole on the back of a colorado, oh and uh...STRIPPERS

it would be sweet if FI had a booth or something out there. treo had something out there last year i think.

Sorry... no booth for us. I have to be VERY selective about where I go and when. A weeks vacation has killed me recently... orders were fine and only a couple days delay for things that couldnt be machined but by me... be emails have been h*ll to get back on top of.

I think the only other show we will make an official Fi event will be dB drag in Orlando. Im sure Ill make it to a couple of shows in CA, especially after Chris' H2 is finished. Not like I have anything to hammer on at a show

last year the local police were used as security, so the bikini contest required wearing a bikini. this year, private security has been hired so the bikini contest goes back to being. . . . whatever it becomes.

the show has gotten bigger and bigger. ive been to every one since its here in my hometown. just beware of the june heat.

i may be there myself, i live in pascagula, ms. right now i only have 2 12 l-7 and two us 600, i have hit 145.4 on dash with a mic that does sine wave, but not sure what it would do on term lab? next year ill have my 4 15 btl! that should be interesting!!!!! does anyone know of a place around the coastal area that you trust and know would do a good job of installing everything i dont have it all together yet but before too long i should have to save up first!

how are the police now out there for window tint. i usually have my windows down anyway b/c my a/c is broken.

i have 5% all around and 35% down the whole front. dont need a ticket. i cant even make court dates in my home town

i might paint my truck for the show although it isnt show worthy right now

i didnt have a problem, i got limo on all the backs and a layer of 20 on top of a layer of 35 on my fronts. alot of trucks that are there arent show worthy, including mine.

the police. ahhh. good times. . they wont hassle you much over tint. 35% up front is legal here and you can do anything you want out back. the only way they would hassle you over tint is if you are pissing them off. so be respectful and they wont cut it.

BUT, and its a big but, anyone traveling through gulfport might want to keep the radios down. they are getting pretty hardcore out there with a noise ordinace. up to $1000 fines. and they wont pick on anyone except people with loud stereos. biloxi isnt too bad, but watch out in downtown gulfport.
