Big 3 issue

Ok this is the problem

On the big three the alternator power....

It says to upgrade that...

now this is the issue i discovered tracking down my voltage drop...

My alternator wire goes from the alt to a fuse box (factory) then from the fuse box to the front battery...

now my rear battery taps off the front battery.... all 0/1 guage wire...

I changed the wire from the alt to the fuse box to 0/1

So i need to change the fuse box to the bat now to 0/1

OR is just going straight from the alt to the rear battery an option (fused with 200 amps of course)

So you just have 0/1 gauge to the box and then the stock wire from the box to the battery. If so I would put 0/1 from the box to the battery. Also as long as you have 0/1 gauge from the front battery to the back battery should be fine dependent on current draw.

I don't see why you couldn't just run straight from the battery to the alternator, and throw a fuse in between that line.

and just add a wire from alt to stock battery then stock battery to rear battery (fused as needed)

Yes leave all stock wiring alone and just add to it current will choose the path of least resistance.

like kinda touched on in the post above, when you do the big three, you're not replacing anything. your adding too the factory. you leave whatever is already in place alone, and simply add the big three to the existing factory wiring.

if you wnat to run from your alternator to your rear battery, i don't see an issue. make sure you use large enough wire and if your super safety minded, fuse on both ends.
