Efficient and Clean bass

im in the market for a new amp and im doing some research on different brands.

and i want to know what you guys think and also know which brands are more efficient and have cleaner bass??

also what was the formula to determine amp efficiency??

Efficiency is simple...the ratio of the power the amp takes vs. the undistorted output power of the amp. It's also relatively unimportant in daily applications.

Amps don't "have bass", as long as the THD is in line with amps of similiar topology, you're fine...

On top of what Jim said, find a quality brand that has an amp that has the specs and features you need and budget you want to spend.

thats what i was asking what are quality brands?

specs and features i dont know yet, but if its quality all their amps should be good?

price- ill figure out which amp is good for me and ill save my money

Not always.

For example, the upper end Hifonics lines are vastly different than their lower end lines.

A ZX 1000.1 would be a great starting point for 2 ohm 1k watt amp.

Denim Why does Ikesound have Merlins and you guys don't... ?

I would love to see Us Amps let You put some merlins up in the SSA shop..... Rather then Ikesound be selling them....

Only Ikesound and SSA are authroized so far that we know. We were allowed the Xterminators only due to the small size of our shop, and IKEsound due to the numbers of equipment they move a month and I believe they have a brick and mortar store to support also.
