Camaro Sub choice

Recommended Posts

I dont know how well you guys know the hatch area of a newer style camaro but I was wondering what the biggest sub I could fit back there would be, Just want to get one big one for now, when I get a new car I will possibly get a second, I know I have the room for a 18" btl enclosure, but will the sub fit back there. Just wanted to know your guys feed back. Thanks

I know for a fact that the 4th gen camaro can hold 2 18" in the back of the trunk, I will have to talk to jeff and see if i can get him to email me the pics of his wife's car ( the new setup). His subs are in infinite baffle, but you should easily be able to get one 18 in there.

ya u could fit one but are u going to do an electrical system that can handle 2000+rms watts of power. no stock electical will handle that with ease

i know that my poor little neon is at 1300+ watts and straining, but even on sine waves full tilt, with lights on and air conditioner and defrost at idle; it takes my car over forty seconds to get below 12 volts. and that is with an 80 amp alt and a oem battery.

Why don't you measure it and put the dimensions on here. I'm pretty sure you could fit an 18 facing up, but you'll be tight for air space. (at least a guy whos camaro I looked at had enough for a 15 though).

I have...let's see....a Sundown Audio 100.2, and Phoenix Gold MS1000TA, and a Sundown 1500D all off stock electrical(Team SSA demo Camry).....the MS1000 by itself can do well over 2000 watts with ease.....care to explain?
