Neeed a 10" beeefy sub!

Recommended Posts

comparing Fi and JL... i have a 10" W7 and they are great subs nice clean hard hitting very tight bass ive always been a fan of JL products but they are a little over priced imo... one of my friends just picked up 2 12" Fi BLs and they are incredible drivers did everything my JL did but better... solid beefy subs that has great SPL and retains nice SQ while doing it, although he does have the 12" version i wouldnt expect any less from a 10" driver... and if your not in a hurry i'd look into Ascendant Audio when they do come out with thier new line HOPEFULLY soon... i have a 10" AA Assassin for what i paid for it... it was 100% quality SQ was very nice, got plenty loud the only downside was they didnt play as low as i wanted but for 75 bucks it out preformed 60% of the subs ive heard

AA FTW

Fi Audio

then...

JL Audio

Would you by any chance happen to know the cutout diameter and mouting depth for that sub?

Cut ID is like 9.25 inches and depth like 9" I know the recommended box size for ported is like .6 cu feet. I will see two of them very shortly for my street A set-up.

Oooo thanks! I wish I had enough money to buy two...soo for the time being I just got one :D. Now I gota eagerly wait. Think they will get those in to productions later on some time? Cuz if yes I might have to save up some more money and pick up a second later on some time.

both the oem 12 and 10 were very succesful (sp?)

so, i suspect they could put some similar subs in production. i don't know if it's going to be the exact same sub though

I'ma probably power it with my 600watt phoenix gold for a bit till I can get a new amp... would be a little underpowered for a bit... but dont think it would be too bad? When I can get the money I will get a new amp. I've thought about the Alpine MRD-M1005, (about $309 on woofersetc) or the Hifonics ZXi1006 (same price). Any of you guys have an amp recomendation for the tc-10?
