Hd 62 CDT comp set

Recommended Posts

I stand by my ancient RF Fanatic Q's. May not be as sharp as my old QSD's but they are nice and clear and warm sounding, great for daily usage. I have wanted to try a set of Koda's, or maybe the Mpyre's but I dont have the mounting depth in my car, nor do I feel like doing major chopping on my truck. Always thought the old Orion Concepts were sexy, but I think if I had the cash I would run active Revalators and Morel MDT-33's.

I have heard nothing but good stuff about the Rev's. The MDT-33's....I was going to use them in the HT, but went with the 29's IIRC.

The Koda's rank perty high on my good list. Price vs Sound is great. It just goes to show when Adire cared about their product and customers, they could put out a speaker that played and sounded as good as some more expensive units.

I thought about the Mpyre's too, but I dont like the fact that they are in bed with Adire and do not reply to threads in thier forum on CSo....so they get none of my money. I did have a 65x (the sub) the third one I got came without the broken basket upgrade. :D

I would have ran them though, but I have some Dayton References (IIRC, they are at n0phobia's house) 7" and a set of MBQ 3" mid ranges or maybe the FR125's and then a Tangband tweeter. Running of a Eclipse 8053 with Xtant amps.

I run HD62's powered by an Elemental Designs NINe.2x 2x200rms @4ohms

They sound great/clear and they get LOUD, i like how they can keep up with my 15" Fi Q.. i know their isnt much of a midbass kick at all but u can here my vocals towards 3/4+ away :D
