Difference in batteries.

Recommended Posts

Would it be better to have four optima yellow top batteries or two Kinetik 2400s. I have read about optima group 31 batteries, is that just a yellow top or a specific optima? Thanks, Lee

Optimabatteries.com

They have a few models that are "yellow tops". But not all are group 31.

This will be in a daily driven SPL machine. I looked up the group 31 optimas and they say 1125 amps at 32 degrees. I don't know for sure if this is the same rating as Kinetik uses when they say 2600 amps. Lee

Might want to consider the Deka Intimidators also, group 31's...

I've heard good things about these batteries too... apparently for the price they're a solid choice, although I've never used them

Those are priced pretty good in comparison to Optimas. Anyone else got an suggestions on batteries? Thanks, Lee

I put in a Deka a few months back and have been very happy with it. Had to send in my HO alt, so I put the stocker back on. NO dimming at all on a 2200watt system.

Deka Intimidator FTW! I would totally reccomend those, I run one under the hood and i have no voltage prolems, I frankly dont know why more people dont run them. Its basically a $118 yellow top.

Look into some Northstar NSB G3100 batteries. I been running in NSPL for 4 years and got 2 championships. using 1 Northstar and get ready to put another in. But $290 each
