going from 1000 rms to 1500 rms

Recommended Posts

was going to buy another 15 and have two 15's in a sealed box off 1500 rms, but been told by some guys from team kicker that my zx1500.1 can run at 1 ohm daily all day. So now i may just switch out my crossfire vr1000d for the zx1500.1. With the difference of 500 rms, should i notice an audible difference. I just can't afford the other 15 right now and i know that one 15 ported vs. two 15's sealed should get me the same output.any help is appreciated

Theoretically not a ton, but practically you will probably notice a fairly significant gain. Now it comes down to how well you built your box, what kind it is, and what drivers you are running.

sorry, i am running a new Mag 15 in a 3.7@27 hz box with 25sq in of port. Will 1500 rms be too much for this box

You'll be fine with 1500, as long as you don't play it like a fool.

i only crank my system oud to give people a sample. I don't blast my system all day everyday like some guys do. Also since the amp will be running at 1 ohm my gains will also be down
