Look at my new toy ^_^!!!!!

Recommended Posts

Well the other day I was talking to a friend about music and he said he was selling a couple of his drumsets ( kid has 3...... :ehh: ). Anyways I asked him how much/brand/etc. Anyways he sold me this:

it's a gretsch u.s. maple with a pearl maple snare. I don't care for the stands but I'm changing those soon(probably dw stuff). Cymbals: Sabian aa regular hi-hat, zildjian a custom 16" brilliant crash, Sabian 21" hh raw bell dry ride, and Zildjian 18" china. The hi hat stand is missing the piece to open and close the cymbals but I'm about to buy a new stand anyways, one that works with double bass pedals(2 feet instead of 3 feet). Came with a tama iron cobra double bass. How much did I pay you ask? $800 bucks!!!

Couldn't pass that deal up, plus it came with cases for the drums and double bass pedal. It's just dirty(should notice in the picks) but I'm gonna clean it up. Also let it be known, I'm not a drummer I play guitar. I will, however, start takin lessons.

Guitar rig: Peavey Tripple X head and cab, Epiphone les paul custom, Boss DD-3, Boss Tu-2, and a Boss GT-3(bout to be a pod xt live).

Werd...tube pr0n or :banhim:

I'm not sure what Peavey uses as stock tubes in that, but I'm willing to bet that swapping the stock 12AX7's for GE 5751's and replacing the 6L6's with beefier ones will get you better tone and distortion characteristics...

Kick ass man. I'd love to learn how to bang on the drums, but then I'd be afraid I wouldn't want to work. I'd ust want to bang on the drums all day.

:P

Sweet, my friend's dad from back in orlando is a big drum guy. Had a room probablt 10x8 filled with just his drum set, a guitar amp, and a tiny bit of sitting and standing room. Probably had three times that many drums...I'd hate to see how much he paid for all that.

Anyway, Nice pick up mang.
