Crossfire

Recommended Posts

Crossfire vr 1000d???? Heard good things about it. Do not have any dealers near me to check one out. What do you guys think of this amp. I also have heard some good things about the nine 1. How are these two amps. I am looking for something to power either a tc2000, rl-p or oz matrix elite single sealed 15. I have heard these where both all around solid amps. I do not buy from shady internet sites so any suggestions please have them be authorized or through woofers etc.

Thanks for the help guys!

ps: I plan to upgrade amps later on. I want solid all around amps. Something the high end guys can say is a respectable amp. But nothing cheap. Not into the hifonics or any of that. I know you get what you pay for. But some brands are horribly overpriced, I want some solid stuff. I heard these two amps where solid mono choices.

:thanx:

Holy chit. This deal will allow me to get the zapco 2 channel I want!!!!!!

How does this sound fellas?

Alpine or pioneer head unit (one of the two undecided)

components and coaxils

cdt hd 62 high def components

cdt 6 1/2 coaxils for the rear

amps and woofer

us amps + rpr-l 15" package deal

zapco ref 350 2 channel

cap to keep the light dim in check (good deal on this cap)

earthquake 1.5 fared digi cap....

I had a budget of 2300 bucks. I feel with this setup I am getting a pretty kick ass system while shopping smart and not getting overcharged. I like jl just as much as the next guy but shops are two damn expensive! I also tried to get all my products authorized or through a very reputible retailer (woofers etc) I can say 99 percent of the system is authorized and warrentied besides the zapco and cap. I plan to get the 2 year warrenty through woofersetc on these items.

Now on the the install. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks for all the help!

You can save even more by deleting the rear speakers because IMO they are completely unecessary. To save a teeny bit more, the big three will help more than the cap as well.

What HU are you looking at?

I agree with sean, and I am a fna of Zapco so nice choice on front stage amps. Maybe you could PM flakko and see if he can give you a deal on a matching Xterminator amp to save even more money, unless you are dead set on the Zapco.

Really? Do I have to drill holes for the big3. My car is brand new and that is something I would like to aviod. The research I did stated caps where a good remidy for light dimming. I do not think it will be a huge problem as I will be running about 1300 watts for the most part. I am not an expert though so please elaborate on my options.

I am looking at the alpine dva9861. I was looking into eclispe but do not know much about them. I also like the jvc kdavx2.. The jvc isnt one of the big three(alpine, pioneer and eclipse) that everyone swears by, but I like the features and small screen. I wanted to do a screen but do not have the 1300 bucks right now. I want to spend 500 - 600.

You really think the rears are not needed? Should I just run the stock ones with the head instead?

I am not dead set on the zapco. I sent him a pm about the furst deal so I will ask him when he replys. How do you check your personal messages. Sorry I suck at computers. I do however want us amps or zapco as my amps. So either would be fine for me. I wanted a solid system.

Thanks guys

I removed the rears from both of my vehicles and don't feel they add anything. SQ is all that is important to me, but adding rears does not really add any volume as long as you use the same money to up the ante on the fronts.

If you don't do a screen, the Pioneer 880prs can be had for $330 from Sonicelectronix delivered to your door with a mounting kit and wiring harness, I bought one from them and have no regrets. I am sure the 9861 is nice, but I don't think it is worth double the money.

As for drilling holes for the big three, I didn't need to for my truck or car. What vehicle do you have? In general caps are just bandages and really don't do anything positive for your system...at least not for the amount of stuff you are going to be running.

Now your talking.

So a better idea would be the

us amps rpl package

The zapco or us amps 2 channel for the front stage

the cdt hd golds

Pioneer or alpine head

big three upgrade if needed over the cap....

Any suggestions on good amp kits?
