so i was at a pawn shop today...

and i saw a 12" si magnum for 150 canadian there..but it looked like the dustcap was glued back on....and i know these retail for over 700 canadian new..i wanted to buy it lol even though i didnt have nothing to power it with yet :wacky:

Definitely try and get it cheaper ... or at least try and listen to it before buying it.

Get it re-coned if need be.

yea it looked pretty good condition..i asked to test it and they are so dumb they hooked it up to those cheap stereo's that do like 50 watts..so they probably damaged it unpowering it by like 900 wats lol..it kept cutting out when u tried to turn it up

*Hint* You can't damage a speaker by underpowering it.

they probably clipped the crap outa the amp therefore killing the speaker :)

If you get is super cheap, recone it and BLAMO you got your self a super nice sub for much less.

most likely the load was just too low for whatever they were trying to push it with and it kept cutting out to protect itself.

yea i was thinking about it...but im not getting my car until like 2007 and maybe then they will have newer subs for 2007 that will be better
