Getting The Assasins Louder

Recommended Posts

:coolugh:

Im fixing to start a box for a 12 for some guy over in jacksonville and between all of my scrap wood and the scrap wood from his enclosure i should be able to pull off a 2.4cuft @34Hz enclosure for the assasins with a F3 at ~28Hz. I wanna see what these things look like when they are wanging, and if she likes the ported box better than the WO ill keep the WO and throw thoes Audiobahns to see what it sounds like for HT if not she will get her WO back.

Im also thinking about building a false floor in her car just for something to try. Ill mount her amps under it and then she will also have a place to store her jack, lug wrench, extra oil, jumper cables, etc... instead of them stuffedunder hte carpet by the wheel wells.

I think it should be louder just because the box is alot smaller. This box takes up ~2.8gross the Wicked One takes up 6.75cuft. it is shorter and not as wide so there is more room for sound to travle into the cab. It will also be able to be pushed further back so there is more room for the wave to build. Im also working up a way to keep her grilles but remove her back speakers that are rotted so there is a bit more sound getting into the cab. She is starting to get bass depravision...im a bad influence...i started an addiction :ohnoes9:

anyway, ill have pics comming sometime soon along with pics of my port mold.

So she's a guy...iiiiinteresting :)

What's wrong with the WO? Not peaky enough?

If she wants loud, tune in the mid '40s and call it a day...doesn't sound like she's looking for a flat response anyway.

lol, the guy in jacksonville is having me build an enclosure for him. there will be just enough scrap wood that is big enough along with the scrap that is big enough in my garadge to build this enclosure.

She likes low bass, that is the thing. The wicked one is loud, dont get me wrong, i just dont think that it is actually louder than a ported box. Just makes more sence because you are using the backwaves, though it is technically a 4th order bandpass.

the wo isn't louder than a ported box. but it goes low, and is very accurate.

yep and wit han F3 around 28Hz she should still get her lows with cabbin gain but also be a tad louder in the upper bass.

IIRC wasn't the WO designed with home audio/video in mind. Maybe they don't work so well with some cars???

the wo works well in a car, only it needs room to breathe. both the deathbox and the wo work well both in-home and in-car.

F3 of 28hz where ? simulated or in-car ?

hmmm, the assasins could hit a bit harder if you try 2 deathboxes, although i'm not sure they will go lower.

So, 2.4cubes NET for the pair of 12's?!??!?!

I'd do at LEAST 3cubes, if not 3.5cubes NET for the pair.

;)
