Recommended Posts

http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/attachment....tamp=1150912134

will be buying a 20' section of 6" PVC soon and will be making 6" port ends on a mold from fiberglass. This will be in the next 1-2 months. How many people want a pair of 6" port ends? i dont know exactly how much they will cost but it shouldnt me more than $25 a pair and ill sell 6" PVC too after i take my share of the 20' section but i need to know how many people want a pair so i know how much material to buy.

post your name and how many pairs you want. When i make my first 2 pairs i will post pics and a price. If you say you want some i will PM you about an order. Im not trying to make a big profit but they wont be 100% at cost because of the time it will take and the fact that im tryign to fund a season of dB Drag. :thanx:

im taking that flare above, scaleing it up to 6" size, and that will be my mold. Im using 4-5layres of 6 oz cloth and a small section of 6" and a 6" joiner. Materials for a pair will be about $25, or that is what it looks like right now.

Lowes here sells 6" fittings but no 6" (that makes sence). Plumming supply stores sell it in 20ft lengths for like $3/foot...i wanna make my first pair before i make an investment like that. Im probably going to call home depot and then drive 30min :)

if you're serious about this, you should ivest in a wood lathe and a heat gun. Then all you'd have to do is make a mold.

Plans have changed, i may go wit ha single 8" port but ill still make the 6" ports. i went up to 8" because my port length for any type of daily tuning will be longer than my truck is wide (mid 30's). we are talking about a 20" port for SPl tuning.

TC has an actual 6" Aeroport, not that fake crap.

Maybe i can pick it up and you can use it for a mould.
