Engine would just flame out...well, if the backpressure from the engine trying to suck all the cabin air out doesn't shatter the windows first :)

Just found something out, these jet engines have a small tendency to backfire into the intake air (in his case, the cabin). So if that happens to him, hes got a one way ticket to the pearly gates.

small tendency lol, a bit more than small but a good engineer will really lower that tendency.

True, but do you want to take that risk? :ohnoes9:

I have learned enough to stay away from anything that as a rocket attached to it.

Would be a hell of a lot safer to run a ducted intake of some kind...I'm suprised he gets enough airflow to really make that turbine happy like that.

I'd rather have the jet-powered MR2 that used two gas turbines, was still street legal I think.

Most decidedly not street legal :D

J38 turbojets I think...standard USAF fighter engine for decades.

The Dakota with 2 jet engines is in the Phoenix area. I've seen it at the local, weekly car show.

And that /\ is bad-freakin-ass

I thought that guy totalled that rig on his last run before he "retired" and let his son take over. I could really have the story butchered, but I remember something like that.

Don't think this is a repost so here it is...

This thing is fricking awsome, I want one.

"Street Legal" ?

Ya um maybe as long as you keep the jets turned off lol.

There is no way they would allow a running jet engine on any road.

That is bad looking though.
