dude isn't british...

he's italian(IIRC)...spent time in cali at the design school, where he learned english. also lived in madrid and of course, italy. growing up his dad had a saab, volvo and mini dealership....

and the beer can was an absolute, very last minute "hey, i forgot to design an exhaust for this thing" when they finished the clay models for presentation. at 4am, he was talking to his modeler and grabbed the dude's empty, cut it in half and viola'...instant exhaust....he later got in trouble for making the modeler do too much work on the design of the exhaust.
