One or two 15s?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I had a question on whether I should have 2 FIBl 15s or one single bl15. I would be powering them with a Hifonics Bre1700. If I had a single bl It would get 1700rms. Would it be any louder with two bls but with 850rms each? The box is roughly 4 cubic feet. Any help is welcome.

Are you able to make a bigger box? What vehicle is this in? More surface area will get you louder. That amp should be good for a BL.

1 15" BL should be brutal then. Enjoy.

It is brutal, just wondering if it would hurt to get another?

I mean, in a good way :)

Actually it would hurt if he is gonna shove two 15"s in a 4 cubic foot enclosure, thats just enough room for two 12"s.

Op if you cant fit the subs in the recommended enclosure size on Fi's site then stick to one 15". If you were able to fit them then yes 850 a piece would be fine since there is no such thing as underpowering subs.

Why not just get a higher powered 15" woofer since box wont be changing and work on electrical and bigger amp down the road if need be.

Would putting the subs in too small of an enclosure result in blown woofers or overall poor performance?

They'd struggle to perform properly in too small of an enclosure.
