quick connections for tang bang w4-1337sd

On Madisounds there are 8 different quick connection options that I can choose from but I don't know what size to use, I've looked and looked and haven't seen a definitive answer.

I'm going to use 2 for a satellite speaker for my parents cabin running full range.

Help on which ones (connectors) to buy would be greatly appreciated.

Another question I had was for a in line lowpass filter for 11 kHz 8 ohm, does anyone know where I can find them? I'll need 2.

The speakers are going to go in a ported enclosure tuned to about 100hz. Powered by a little receiver.

They are not happy with the speakers in the TV.... No surprise there. They will be mainly using them for TV and movies. Maybe a little music but mostly for watching TV so I'm thinking the TBs will be less fatiguing and more enjoyable for the next 20+ years.

They already have a powered sub so <100 hz is already taken care of. My dad also has (I think) a 31 band eq that I was going to use to help tame the upper end.

This set up is not going to be played extremely loud, just loud enough for old relatives (and i mean old, great grandma is a couple months away from her 101st b-day) to hear what's being played.

Those drivers can run full range but they need a hefty crossover.  Sound like utter ass running full range without them.  I run a pair in my office.  Have about $200 into crossover components IIRC.

Ported is the plan with a low pass filter up top. What would you suggest for 4" full ranges in that price range then?

ALL 4" full rangers require a crossover.  That is a HUGE frequency range for any cone to play.  The w4's are awesome.

Would the 4" Mark Audio alpair-7P be a better choice for what I want to do? My dad is a carpenter and I've done wood working all my life so we are more than capable of making a box. And we were going to put some fill in as well.

I would rethink the plan. 4" full range is fine for computer speakers like Sean is doing where you are near field, relatively stationary and only one listening position. But for TV and movies where you are far field, wide variety of listening positions and you will periodically need some real output...I think there are better options. A 4" even ported will lack real midbass and lack overall output potential and playing full range will run into beaming so a small sweet spot for listening.

IMO check out Zaph or similar websites for inexpensive 2 way DIY speaker options.

At their place they are having their 54" led TV between 2 windows so a sets of speakers or a full range on both sides is not an option. They only need/want a satellite speaker for under $200, we already have the wood and wire. And they have a little powered sub, I think an 8.

The TV will be on a entertainment center that will house the satellite TV receiver, a blue ray player, the receiver and equalizer for the speakers.

At first I was thinking MTM but decided to try and find 2 full range that would work but they got shot down.

So I'm open to suggestions for a satellite speaker.

This for people who won't be cranking up The Eagles or trying to feel explosions during a war movies. It's more for news, sports, and hunting shows.

I got so excited about the w4 that I missed the TV aspect.  There is NO fullrange PERIOD that will work for that....unless you only want one person to hear things.  The sweet spot on my 4" FR's is about 3".  If I move my head 3" forward, backwards or to the side the sound gets really wonky.

I am also completely confused now at where you plan on placing these.  If they aren't on both sides of the TV that will be tough as well.  I would also argue that for what you describe as the need you should be building 3 speakers and not just 2.  You are going to need a center.

Those bamboos sound pucking awesome in my civic. Although they're not full range.

The speakers willl be infront of or under the TV depending on size. 3 speakers is definitely doable. For the box I have plenty of room Length 54" Height 6" Width up to 24".

What you propose and your budget is REALLY tough. You absolutely need a tweeter...and barely have enough budget for crossovers. Looking for a design someone else has published is where you should start. Stay away from anything other than paper cone mids though as no way, no how do you have the budget for something exotic.
