What's the best 3,000-3,500 watt mono block class d amp i can get?

Recommended Posts

aight so i will be getting two 12 DSS Ethos in oct.. they are 1,800 watts RMS.. there is two so could i get a 3,000 watt amp for them or will i need to get a 3,500 watt amp?? also i only have about 650$ to spend on a amp which sucks.. any thoughts on what i should do? i kno i will be needing to get a second battery and a better battery for under the hood.. i never really had much of a system.. i only have two 10's now and a Hifonics BE1700.1 for the 10's and a alpine 4 channel for my door spearkers.. this will be my first time upgrading my electrical.. will i need to get a better alternator or can i just rock the 2 better batterys..  my new build will be the two 12 Ethos.. a 3,000-3,500 watt amp for the Ethos and the alpine 4 channel amp and 4 5x7's.. i hope i can slide with just the two batterys cause dont think i can afford a nice alternator..

Quality watts over quantity. Any selection in the SSA Store would work well. Buy what you can afford, you don't absolutely need to have 3500 watts

I'd recommend 3,500. My team members have had success with B2 and American Bass.

Check out Swifts f250 build log in the build log section. He is using a newer companies amp that also has decent pricing.

With your budget I would get two used Crescendo BC2000's and strap them. Or keep your eye out for a used 3-4k for 650.

650 dont go very far when talking about a new quality amp.

Don't get too caught up in worrying about power. It takes a large difference in power to make even a small audible difference.

Yes but make sure to upgrade that wire to 1/0 or better and watch the voltage. Make sure to be gentle on the gain and dont go crazy. I hope the Big 3 wiring is done underhood in 1/0 as well. Get an AGM battery for under the hood as well, the biggest one you can fit. How big is the trucks stock alternator?

The question would be would I do it, no I wouldnt. But there are probably a few people who have ran 2k on a stock electrical with good results.

Now that is what extra headroom is!

A lot of amp for that sub.

Be careful with the gain or better yet get a sub that would match up better.

Till you get your other subs.
