shopping for a 3 way passive set up

i have a friend that is set on a 3 way passive set up ,

 he has a decent budget 800 bucks or so.... looking for something that will cover a great range sound good, needs to have a 1 inch tweeter for location reasons

 he was about to pull the trigger on a set of hertz milians or some shit...

 

 looking for options from you guys,

 

 i told him to just go active but hes not even a noob  more like a boob and he was simplicity

If the Mbass goes in the door and the mid/tweet in the kicks okay, but anything else it is fucking pointless.

I gotta agree.  Not that I have a lot of room to talk with a set of Bravox CS603CF's in the closet, but the price was good and even Brad said they're fairly decent.  But I do still agree with the comment, he likely won't know any different and there's no sense in letting him waste something to the tune $800 for a less than stellar set of speakers in the first place.

Never heard a set I'd buy. I too would tend to agree with the above. Not the cheapest, but not all that much more. If NVX released a set it may be interesting.

As everything Jon, this really comes down to install. WAY more so than a 2 way,. If he wants a 3 you should discuss that effort, and then let him talk his way in and out of what it is.
