mounting depth challenged

Recommended Posts

I REALLY want to try some of the subs, but can't fit the mounting depth of any of them in my crew cab f250... I refuse to go the flat, shallow sub route. Any chance that you guys will be making a sub that's more in the 5" depth range? Pretty please??

I had the same problem in my f250.. I ended up splitting the back seat. kinda like a sub box console for the back seat

If it weren't for 3 kids, I'd want to go all out with the truck, but that's not an option. I had been looking at the Sundown SD series, but love everything I've read about the SQ brand. I had Sundown SA 8's in my f150, but their longevity severely disappointed for such expensive 8's.

i had the same issues with kids.. I have 3 as well. fortunately for me 2 of mine could fit on one side. and we have a family ride so I was good. you could also build a center console up front fairly easy

Usually in the f series trucks the best way to get around depth issues is a bump out so the magnet will clear. We used a lot of s series from alpine with great results sealed in these trucks.you can also add some washers and longer bolts to get a bit more depth

I will have more info on our 8" woofer shortly. I do believe it's around 6" mounting depth.
