glued and screwed.  still got to add a few cross braces, then it will be ready for paint and bedlining.  I am pretty proud of it...best box I have ever constructed.  I don't know how I ever lived without a Jasper circle jig.LOL  Still have to do the beauty panel too...

The side panel will be mounted after painting.

That's real nice. How you doing the trim plate. I was thinking about starting off with fiberglass but might end up going with plywood.

Just gonna be a simple plate panel...shaped to replace the midgate.  Assuming the box fits thru the hole.lol  Going to leatherette it to match my factory leather.  Hopefully a large oval around the subs, and flush trimmed to the port.

Headed to ATL for the Fbody gathering this weekend.  Gonna order wire tomorrow though.  I'll start back on it after monday.

OK- last update for a bit.  main box construction if complete.  It is in the hands of the body shop.  They were already filling screw holes when I got there today.lol  Added the internal bracing.  I was skeptical to the amount of difference it would make...but dang...it really tightened up the sound of just knocking on the side.

Then decided to my sure the speaker would drop it, and to show the shop guys what a non-mainstream Sub looked like.LOL

Thanks guys- headed to the shop today...will be bedlining the rear portion when they do the next truck in the shop.

Picked up my front stage.  some Massive RK6's.  Also have a set a Massive Summo 6's that I am considering putting in the rear doors as dedicated mid bass.   though I may not.  Depends if we can glass some enclosures in the rear doors.  I got them for nearly nothing to try them out.  If I don't use them in the Lanch- I will use them in the T/A as Subs.

The enclosure looks killer. Take it from someone who knows just how hard it is to finish an enclosure in paint and make it look decent when it's all done.

How do you get the front of the box to be a shiny orange like that?

My pops has worked at Auto Body shops all my life.  They bondo'ed the face- sanded, then primed and blocked, and finally painted with factory color PPG basecoat/clearcoat.  Then buffed lightly after spraying the Bedliner to remove a lil overspray.  It'd cost about 200-300 bucks for the work there, but thanks to my hook up- it'll cost me about 100 in materials, and a few shop lunches.

I too done body work for a few years out of high school(at that same dealer)- and can do all the above myself, but for all I have to pay, I let them do the finish(paint) work.  I never leave anything alone for long...My Trans Am is on its 4th paint job- the last we stripped it all the way down.

EDIT- oh yeah- it is ALL in the TOOLS.  True story.  Everything my dad owns is Snap On, Mac, or Binks(paint guns).  You can do good work with cheaper tools- but good tools make it sooo much easier.  NO WAY I could duplicate these results in my driveway.

Sounds like a good amount of work, but it looks like it was definitely worth it.
