enclosure design with kerfed port

Recommended Posts

Looking for someone to help me design an enclosure with a kerfed port. I have been trying out doing it on scrap wood in my garage for a while and wanting to try it out on one of my enclosures. I have someone wanting an enclosure built right now and figured it would be a good one to start with.

Its for 2 sundown sa8v2's in a trunk . I was told there Going to be on 1-1500 rms. . .Max dimensions - 30 wide 10 tall and 16 deep. (Ill ask if any of the dimensions can get bigger) Wanting it subs facing up and port back. Tuned in the low 30s. 30-34. . . . . Listens to mostly rap music.

I know this is 2" deep then you want but just built this design for a customer for 2 8" sa8v2 and sounded amazing. Maybe give this a try

What about this? 30 wide 16 deep and 10 tall. Port 2x8.5 and around 32 or so long. Thinking it would be around 1.25 cubes tuned in the low 30s.

Just was messing around on paper and came up with that. What do you guys think?
