I preordered the diyma 12" but need something to run in the meantime. the amp i have is 500w rms, probably underrated. i'm looking at either one of the eclipse sw 8000 lmt 10's sealed or a single rli-8 ported. The treo ssi 8" is on the list as well and it would be ported.

shit..we can get a pair of 15's sealed behind the seats of the new rams..so the lmt 10 shouldn't ba an issue...lol..

and i've done ported 12's in the older ones...

get the 10, let us know..and then sell it to me when your real sub gets there!

no idea, and you know eclipse tech support is like pulling teeth. my local dealers act like they've never heard if these too.

actually that was easy. eclipse tech support says "NO ported".

they said that about the older alumns,

but those specs are not bad I was expecting closer to 3 for the 12

there were ported boxes on the spec sheet of my sw8102 i think but yeah when you called they recommended sealed. i really want to grab that 10" but i need to get my head unit and wires first or it would just sit around anyway.

with smaller box requirements they should be,

but I wonder if the 8200 has H2 syndrome, where the company posts small box requirements and when in reality the sub needs a much larger box

i plan to try the 10 in the same box i'm gonna use for my diyma 12", just gonna cut the hole bigger once it comes in. i'm planning on about .9 gross airspace.

I knew that was the amp, just did nto know the model or the wattage. By the looks of the internals it will be alot more than 500.
