I have been looking at the clarion eqs746 dash mount crossover. Not sure if I like the idea that my head unit has 3 rca outputs and the EQS746 only has one input.  I am  interested in installing a crossover but was thinking of looking at a trunk mounted model.  thoughts??? Opinions????

model suggestions for the trunk mount models??? have been looking at Audio control and I have a MTX RT-X02i used in the 90's

looking to improve my current sound output. I feel like I am missing something just haven't figured that out yet.

Crossover won't do ANYTHING for you if you haven't figured out what you want to change. Think about it, even when you get it what do you do? If you have nothing to gain, then no processing can help you gain nothing.

As for crossovers. If you are new to using them, a headunit solution is really what you should be looking at. Mounting something in the trunk won't allow you to learn as it is pretty hard to change things in the drivers seat from the trunk.

I'm going to sound like an echo here. I've ran the MTX RT-X02A and still have it sitting in the garage collecting dust. I definitely recommend doing some more research on why you think you need a crossover and come back with a reason why you need one. Any person that trunk mounts a good crossover or eq has definitely spent time with it inside the car getting it tuned where they want it before mounting it.

Perhaps the head unit you currently have has the ability to do the work you are asking now.
