Reconing. How to center coil?

What do you guys use to recone subs? I'm reconing and Xcon 12 and not sure what use to center the coil. I think I saw someone use computer paper before. If so how many sheets of paper?

i used some thick paper, like cardboard, as shims when i reconed my bro's icon.

In previous attempts i used a manilla folder.

 

the past attempt i cust some index cards and tried something like in the video

you want to use regular copy or notebook paper. If the gap is 1.34mm wide then you want to fill it as precisely as possible.

I just saw a video of cardboard from a pack of pop.

also i usually let the spider landing dry before i glue anytihing else.

 

some ppl do the both surrounds at the same time, but ehh
