Isn't the Solo X similiar? If your gonna fry the coils, your prob competing, and then you'd have extra parts on hand for that.

lol, boston advertises 3-3.75" peak-to-peak excursion, and in the manual it says : xmax 22mm. 44mm is far from 3".

great idea on the removable coils as long as it is qucik interchange like memphis or kicker i loved my m3's could change the cartrige in 5 mins then back in the lanes ready to launch another dustcap

Boston and JL are NOT the same company.

As for the 3" peake to peak and 22mm Xmax, Xmax is linear movement only. There very well could be a mechanical peak to peak of 3+".
