getting a new ride (hopefully a subaru wagon). anywho im looking to build a daily pounder might do some local shows. i was looking at a 5k2 and 2 zcons but finances are kinda tight to drop like 2k on gear. any suggestions would be appreciated or maybe someone stepped up to the evils and has a pair of 12's or 15's sitting in the basement or an old 5k amp . not hooked on ssa subs but i love the fact they are us made. looking to buy within days.

sorry if its the wrong section.

I have 1 Xcon 12 and it gets very loud. Sounds great too. I have it on only ~1100 rms and have everything from firing not completely sealed off yet. I am waiting for my other one. It's going to be very loud, for me at least, when it's all done with. Maybe even some xcons would do you good. Save you some cash on subs and amp/electrical. They don't need a lot of power to get loud either.

The XCONs are bad ass, and don't need a lot of power to get loud. I had two 12's on 1300 watts total and they absolutely destroyed my car. And when I wasn't "showing off" they sounded excellent at normal listening levels. With a budget of 2k I would run less power, and make sure you have a solid front stage. You can have awesome results with your budget, but dumping it all into subs and amps that you can't properly power is not the way that I would suggest going.

I'm running 2 pa mofo's 124x and the do 134.8 with less then half power in a 4.3cu ft box but should be able to hit 140 max with the proper power. Everything matters on the box rather then the setup it self

You can do 2 15"s in a Subaru Wagon, on a cheap 1500 w amp. That can be very LOUD  in a proper box.

I'm sure you can find some SSA Icons used, or Xcons for a small budget.   wink.png   wink.png

Don't worry on amps, you will find what you need.
