Design Question for 2 FI SSD 12" in 5 cubic feet @ 33Hz

Recommended Posts

Ok I have a few questions about the closure that I am designing. First is this a slot port design? Second do i need to throw some bracing in the inclosure or is it good as is? Third Have used various calculators to calculate port size for tuning is this correct? The box I have designed is 20"L x 48"W x 15"H  puting the box at 5.3 without bracing. The subs will be facing the rear door and the port will be facing up on the back wall. Port will be 4"H x 20"W x 22.21"L. The port Vol is 1776.8 the port area is 80" square. Any and all help with this will be great

agreed on sub up port back, that'll be the loudest in your particular truck.

This is a quick design i through together I will 45* all the vertical corners with a 2" piece. Is this still tuned to 33Hz? having trouble with the center port.

No it's not the same tuning. It will change with more and more bracing, filling, wire, etc..
