Okk first of all that sub doesn't need over 1000 really. If its a dual 2 sa then just wire it to 4 ohms so you don't blow it and then come back here complaining that it blew

He is talking about burping it. So I assume he is competing with a burp. you could never run it daily on 2,000 wrms.

Gotcha, I though he was saying that he wanted it to run it that much but with a clean signal.

But he is also talking about clean power. So I dont know why you need clean power to burp a sub.

it does matter sometimes. Clipped burp (audible) Vs Unclipped (audible) can be a few tenths in my car.

You can definitely run any sub over power daily, just don't turn up the volume knob that much, lol... I used to drive around with two saz-1500d's strapped on a pair of 600w rms tc sound subs dual 1 vc, wired to 1 ohm (~.7 ohms per amp before impedance rise) and never had an issue besides the initial smell of glue.

But alot of people wouldnt do that.

Even Steve and his engineer said it sucks for competition.  As for normal use, they ran from any discussion of its value as they know it is just a way of making money.
