Set your gain according to voltage drop and keep amp cool. I've ran my mmats hd 4000.05 with a dc 270xp 1 xs d3400 1 xp2500 and 1 xp3000 2 runs 1/0 and my voltage still drop. I would never an amp @ .5 again

What subs do you have?

I would never do it for daily. If you are going to run it that low, then make sure you have heavily invested in your electrical system. If you're running 12v system, I wouldn't want to drop below 12.6.

Wire it to two ohms, unless you are chasing numbers the gain will be minimal wiring to .5.

Two XCON's will get silly loud on 2800 watts, trust me.

If your going to use it as a daily driver I would wire it to 2 ohms. They will get plenty loud.

try and find a kicker or rockford that is 2 ohm stable if they fit your budget, if you already have the Crescendo already then run it at 2 ohms.

Sorry I thought I had read 5500. Either way I still say 2 ohms.

But if you have two subs at half ohm load each with a final load 1ohm would that be okay or no

Nobody has any idea of what his load will be until you model his enclosure.  I may be nominally over 1 ohm with those drivers, all wired in parallel...

So basically, nobody can tell you anything objective until you figure this ^^ out...

And no, this isn't impedance rise, just want to nip that one in the bud :)
