Electrical for my AQ2200.1D?

Recommended Posts

I have a AQ2200.1D amp at 1 ohm with my 12" ascendant mayhem, it pounds off stock battery bit I hit the clipping light at around 20 on my alpine cde-hd137bt. I do have a 270 amp HO alt and big three and my lights dim sometimes but I'm wondering what all batteries do I all need to make it bump harder, louder and deeper, and make my stiff rear view mirror fall off?

Do you have the big 3 done? That definitely needs to be done. I'd say a d3100 in the back as a second batt would be good.

Reread the post, he has a h/o alt and Big 3 done already.

Op put a battery in the back and you should be good to go. If you don't have a volt meter I suggest you get one, I wouldn't rely on the clip indicator on the bass knob.

I have a atinger volt meter set at 14.7 and It drops lowest on white girl full tilt at 13.1-13.3 but usually stays in the 14's. what batteries would be good you think? Just one kinetik3800 or two 1400?

I use the diehard platinum g31 from sears. It's a badass batt and works great. Cheaper than the kinetic and XS. I was going to do with a d3100 until people recommended the diehard. Look into them.

Yeah just add a battery in the rear. If you don't have room, place any reputable agm battery under your hood as a replacement. With the h/o alt you have, that should be all you need for that power. Also, seeing 13 volts on full tilt is a good thing, shouldn't be too worried about that. The biggest hearing difference you will hear are when you drop volts at a time, such as starting at 14.8 then hit 12.6 then back up to 14.4 then back down to 12.9 etc.

Would 2 optima yellow tops cover that electrical or should I get two kinetik HCA 1400 as bat and secondary, and also would I need to fuse alt to bat + 1st bat + to 2nd bat + < 2 fuses inbetween, and one more fuse then to amp +? = 4 fuses for 2 batteries?
