Finally getting to do a build and use equipment iv always wanted to use... cant say what yet, i want it to be a surprise! nothing really special but im pretty pumped about it haha

learned what? lol ill be running each sub at rms so no wirries! and iv never done a 4th order myself so why not try something new??

He is talking about the 4th order your friend used that caught the zcon on fire. There are risk at ANY power when running a 4th order, that may be greater than utlilizng a traditional ported enclosure. The reasons to not running a 4th order can be many, but manly the difficulty of properly not only designing, but as well as constructing.

i know what u mean. casey designed and is helping build my box so i think im good. his designs are usually great. he did do a 146db outta his trunk with 1 zcon 15 with his own 4th order design. the coil on the zcon was 100% fine. no burn marks or nothing. where the tensil leads meet the spider is where it caught fire. if the 4th order doesnt work out well, ill go with a normal ported box

i plan od building a couple different boxes for this set up so i will have manny options.  ALSO, subs will be here tomorrow!!!!

 

P.S.....

just ordered my new race tune for my truck should put me at 475-500hp at the wheel! just gotta get my turbo and some small injectors and ill have myself a 13 second 7000lb lifted diesel pickup hahahaha

and now for the box... it is a 4th order bandpass. .75 cubes sealed, 1.5 cubes ported and the best part is i have a nice plexiglass window casey and myself threw in!

casey had a extra box for 2 12s laying around today... 1.3cubes EACH and tuned to 35hz...  sounds very nice

oh trust me, i know lol i had them in that 4th order (.75 sealed,1.5ported) then just 1.5 ported, THEN 1.5 sealed and none of them sounded good.... the sound so good in this box i love it! haha
