My boss owns several businesses. One of them is a scooter shop (who is becoming a Triumph dealership as of Jan 1), and they are downstairs of one of our buildings... the one I work in, in fact. I have gotten to know the mechanics down there pretty well as I help them with electrical diag when they get stuck. One of the guys down there saw my vape and he got all excited about it. He is generally very quiet, and even though I have known him since July I think he has uttered 10 words to me. But we got to talking about it.

He is a huge vape guy. He brought in several of his pens and a home made pipe he has for vaping. He has several that I really liked (one is a $250 pen), but one that he had was really killer. I think I might pick one up. It's threads are much more common than my Halos, so I can play more with tanks, clears, carts, atomizers, and vaporizers. I stopped at a local vape shop today and bought an adapter for my Triton (the big fucker) to play with, but his Joyetech was badass...

It is a variable voltage unit with a digital display. It tells you the voltage, the resistance of the head and recommends a voltage setting based on this measurement, the number of puffs taken, and an estimate of the number of puffs remaining on the charge, and it tracks your usage (which is cool if you want to slow down) and it also has updatable firmware, and you can open the base unit and replace the battery if it goes dead so you don't have to buy an entirely new unit. It is a total fucking badass. At $100 it seems like a steal to me. I may get myself one very soon.

He asked what I vape and I told him I was totally new and was still just vaping tobacco. He brought me in a bag of about 40 different e-juices to try, and an atomizer so I can drip them. So I have a shit tone of flavors to play with, and honestly I am surprised at how much I enjoy the different flavors.

So far I think that Backwoods Brew's Applewood is one of my favorites. I would never have thought that I would enjoy it. My absolute favorite right now is Halo's Voodoo. It has a unique flavor that tends to change. I also like Vapornine's Rad Bull, which tastes exactly like Red Bull.

Awesome man! I'm thinking of "upgrading" soon too. I didn't want to dump too much in at the beginning but now that I know I'm done smoking I'm thinking about it. I have tried a red bull one that is pretty good too. I was a menthol smoker and can't find a tobacco juice that I like which is part of the reason that I failed the first few times that I tried vaping. I have been using cool fusion from freedom smoke daily and I really like it, but I need to find something else for every now and then when I get sick of it.

Backwoods Brew makes some nice liquid. They are a bit pricey, but I have tried 4 of them so far and all are great. I am not a menthol guy so I can't help you there, but I tried some of Halo's Kringles Curse today and it was quite menthol like. I was surprised that it wasn't sweeter than it was, as I have heard a few people say they thought it was too sweet.

I'll look them up thanks.

And as an added bonus, as far as my insurance is concerned you are a non smoker if you only vape. I asked when they tested and they said they can tell the difference between e cigs and regular cigarettes. I asked when I could get re tested and they said ~1 week after quitting. I don't know if this is true for all companies but United told me that.

My sister and I bought my mom 5th row seats for her and my sister to see Andrea Bocelli at US Airways tomorrow. She was almost speechless, by far the best gift we have ever given her.

Do they make amplifiers to boost antenna strength? Automotive, not home.

apparently the SIrius setup we installed in my dad's Hyundai has a hard time in inclement weather. Could just be that the disc type antennas aren't as good as the shark fins.

Is it aftermarket or stock?

And yes they sell boosters for cars.

Although they're typically used for boats or motorcycles they work pretty well all they need is an accessory 12v signal

Where in new york?

Olean/ friendship.

J

Seriously? I thought you were from Buffalo. My grandparents had 100 acres in Phillips Creek near Almond on North Road near Belmont. Do you know Palmer's pond? I spent my entire summer vacation there every year, and most weekends and holidays during the school year. I grew up down there hunting woodcock, ruffed grouse, pheasant, woodchuck, and obviously deer...

Yes I do. Spent many a drunken evenings, hikes, and such out that way.

As you know 98% of people you meet do not know that area worth a damn, so Buffalo makes it easier. Plus most of my family is from Kenmore/Tonawanda.

Cool!

https://maps.google.com/maps?oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&q=north+road+almond+ny&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x89d18bad2741028f:0x8965e9f106862ab1,N+Rd,+Almond,+NY+14804&gl=us&ei=x4GiUqDVKoy3kAffpYC4Aw&ved=0CC4Q8gEwAA

that was their property. It's western edge was the North Road itself. The unnamed road just south of ponderosa road was their driveway, and the north end of their property. It continued back close to the creek that leads straight to the east from the driveway. The south end of their property was the road next to the large field there. I used to sit at the top corner of that field and pick off woodchuck with my 22-250. Their big house was right at the pond on the property. If you follow the creek back you will see an opening. That was an old cabin they had found on the property when they bought it. They "fixed it up" and used it for years when they visited. We heated the cabin and cooked on a truly old school wood stove. It had the pull out plates on top and you dropped coils into the opening to cook. I remember when they just had an outhouse before they added a small bathroom to the side. They built the big house out front later and retired there.

That is really close to the stove used to heat the cabin and cook on.

Those were the best times in my life. Good memories.

Looking at the map, I may have been out that way a few times.

Honestly when i go home I can only comfortably do 10 days at the most. I quickly remember why I left, and why I have no real good desire to live there.

Also on the Vaping topic, I am tempted to look more into them now. Still apprehensive as the BLU sucked, and there is a lot of rumors about people having batteries go BOOM in their face.
