Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Recommended Posts

Buy what you can afford to shoot, she is comfortable shooting, and enjoys to shoot. It doesn't do a damn bit of good if you are afraid to shoot the ting, don't know what you are doing, and can't hit shit.

This.

R2, you know I got the 9mm XDm for my wife for Valentine's day...

She likes my 1911 more. LMAO

Productive day today: finished up swapping two injectors which had the return nipples broken (and leaked fuel like a mofo, the whole left side of the block is diesel), finished up the electrical issues and found the turbo whine.

Turns out the nuts holding the turbo to the manifold worked themselves lose. I suspect that the downpipe was not tightened correctly at some point when the engine had to be idled to warm up for the head torquing procedure and because of that they vibrated lose. Nice and tight now.

LOL.  Awesome.  My brother loves his regular XD9, and I hate to say I shoot it pretty darn well, better then the Grocks.  But next pistola will be one of the Rock Island Armory 9mm 1911's.  I want me some 1911 goodness, but in 9mm.

Shit, I wouldn't even having a problem with carrying a .22LR if its all that a person can shoot.

Never messed with any of S&W stuff. Had problems with their shot guns and we never messed with any of their stuff after that.

This is probably my favorite pistol.

I wouldn't buy it... Little more money and you are in M&P territory.
M&P, glock, and XDm are my top picks. And they are in the 500-600 category new. You get a great kit and the ability to either costomize or replace parts easily.

This is for home defense right? If so buy the largest physical she and you can handle. Compacts are not your friend, full frame is.

Personal defense, I keep it in my back pocket. And yes I have used it. A customer held a knife to my throat about 7 years ago and asked for my cash and wallet. He got the cash, a collapsed lung, amputated leg at the knee(35 at point blank will do that) and 30 years in prison.

I keep a judge in all of my vehicles. My ole lady keeps a hammerless Taurus 38 in her purse.

For the house I have several Mosberge 12 gauges with pistol grip stocks and "reworked" barrels. This besides about 150 or so shotguns, pistols, rifles, and black powder guns I keep in a safe.

v2 and v3 merged in.

The 1911 has less perceived recoil to her. The 9mm does feel a touch more..... snappy. I'm sure that could be worked out.

I'm so curious about the double stack 1911 style pistols. If they shoot the same it may be my next dream. ATI makes some amazing pistols. If I ever get another 1911 I am going to paint my Springfield for the wife. She would flip.

Nothing shoots like a 1911 that is for sure. Mine was only $500, and came with a case, a cleaning kit, couple holsters, ammo boxes, and extra parts.

My FILs 44mag is one of the best shooters I have ever tried. I bugholed 3 rounds with that thing. The weight and huge grip just allows for so much steady shooting.

My 9mm xD is one of the least consistent shooters. I'm all over the target. Still working on my grip styles.

I really need to do more dry firings.

.32 H&R and .327 Federal are two other wheelgun calibers that often get overlooked

If you go .327 Federal, you can shoot .327 Federal, .32 H&R,.32 S&W Long, and .32 S&W Short. Very versatile, especially if you handload.

One of the coolest guns I saw recently was a single shot 500 short barrel pistol with a silencer.

Ultra heavy pills and kept them sub sonic. Fucking ninja quiet and a bajillion pounds of force at "medium" range.

Fucking hog murderer. Adapt a semi auo platform for that and it would be just something amazing.

If you limit speed to subsonic the diameter and total mass of the object matter most and damn can you make some big heavy boolits with that 500 platform.

More flame thrower than anything, the 44mag pukes a fireball with a decent barrel.

Yeah, got my dad a Marlin lever action in .44 Mag one year. Nice rifle.

I honestly wouldn't touch anything in .460 S&W or .500 S&W unless it was in rifle form. And even then, fucking ouch.

I'll take an Eagle in .44 Mag.

Another 50mi lunch.  I'm a sweaty fucking mess.  Really wish the temps would drop.

What's the current temp? Temp here keeps jumping around from 40s to 70s. Got use to 30s, then 40s, and then jumping to 70s and I'm sweating like a pig. Then I imagine summer riding in 100s. *headshot*

It's 38 right now.  Fucking sucks.  I want 10.
