Don't know if you guys can see this but going topless on a cold evening is probably why I caught a cold. Don't mind the mess, I only had time to remove the aluminum floor "mats" and it's still dirty.

Big smile on your face shows what we need to know about the car. :)

Indeed, can't wait to change the timing belt, all fluids and then spin it to over 6k :D

Weird, I could see the picture I posted, not I can't see it. And I can see my avatar on the previous post but on no other posts.

My right hip is back in action and I can squat good again. As a result, I feel like I've been ran over by a truck.

Nope, no easyout kit. I'll see who has one I can borrow tomorrow.

I have a few sets. Stop on by.

Bitch, bitch, bitch... can't say I never offered.

Audi TT is a good option for 2 seats, looks cool, and is quick.

Feels way way way faster than a boxter.

Again, costly repairs.

Is it that bad?

My budy has one and it's been pretty great. A lot less than the Porsche I bet. I do know they share some parts though.

It makes me feel good to see how happy you are in that car.

I bet you pull off some magic with it.

I should also say the VW and Audi clubs here are huge. Speciality mechanics for those cars are pretty frequent and even get all horny just to work on something like a TT.

Audis always seem to require very expensive parts. I just had to do a ballast and bulb on an A4 and it cost the guy right at $900 parts and labor.

I had deliberately rolled the windows down minutes earlier, simply to enjoy the exhaust note.

I've never heard a flat engine that sounded good.  This must be a joke.

Agreed. But I know a few people who love the sound of a boxster.

I'm next door to a T-Mobile store and have one bar of 4glte. LoL

Mo-rans.

Going to be copping 6 day weeks for a while though. This job has too much attrition in the MN market. I bet this is a unique problem to this area.

why here?

Hmmmm better MPG then the damn truck.......http://autonationfordstpetersburg.com/St-Petersburg-FL/For-Sale/Used/Porsche/Boxster/1999-White-Car/21427731/

Not looking as a trade or anything....just interested to test drive at the price.

Thoughts?

J

You couldn't afford the repair bills.
And a chick car

Test drive will make you not want it. I'd drive a turbo if it is joy ride time. smile.png
Honestly it was just the name and price that caught my eye. I do agree it is a chick-ish car, but with balls like these I am secure enough to drive something like that.

I am just browsing some random automotive sites for cheap used rides that could still be fun to drive to work.

As for the 'auto' thing, sorry just not a fan of stick when 1/2 your commute is in bumper to bumper interstate traffic thru down town. Just a recipe for burning out clutches quickly.

Now the ride home? At that point I'd love the a nice fast 6 speed but no dice.

J

The real problem is that is a gutless, mechanical turd that most people find not so attractive. Pretend that Cadillac so a Geo Metro with no modifications other than leather seats, a new leather covered dash and called it a Cadillac Ville

Yesterday I started looking for places to put a pair of 3" FR's in the Miata. I already have a pair of Extremis, would be a pity to let them stay in a box. And there's a PPI Phantom 900.4 on ebay, damn, I need to keep my money for the registration tax.

I just can't help it sad.png Won't be as cool as in the Jeep but I WILL have some better tunes in the Miata smile.png

Fountek 89's, do it.
I may be pimping another pair myself soon

*hopes*

American drop top J.

Rag top 'stang GT or 'vette. They will be faster, less to fix and have more clout with anyone who knows. The boxer was made so rich husbands could buy their wife something without going to a different dealership.

wink.png

Not worried about drop top. Just saw speed at a low price and said hmmmm

J

My old ass slow M5 would take a Boxster Turbo EASILY. Did from a dig, rolling 30, and 60-120. Walked at all speeds. Things is a turd. That one isn't even a Turbo. Your truck might out run it.

I wonder what GOOD small format tweeters I can pair up the Extremis of Mach 5 MLI with? Extremis freq response looks clean up to 5k, so I assume if I can get a pair of tweeters to dig down to 1.6-2k I'm good.

Scan D2904 or Seas Neo are about your only choices. Outside of weird I-boutique brands which have popped some XBL tweets out.

Hot dang and the D2904 is kind of unavailable new. Guess I'll have to settle for the Seas Neo and try out mach 5 vs extremis, see which is better above 1k.

I didn't mean to discredit the neo options. I just haven't played with them.

I have but was not very experienced back then. Not hinting to a discredit just hoping to be able to pair them with the Extremis.

Realize that was confusing when I fuck up and type neo instead of XBL. I haven't played with the XBL'ers, might be fine.
