I'm next door to a T-Mobile store and have one bar of 4glte. LoL

Mo-rans.

Going to be copping 6 day weeks for a while though. This job has too much attrition in the MN market. I bet this is a unique problem to this area.

I live out in the sticks. About 7 miles outside of a village of ~500 people and I get 3 bars LTE with Verizon.

just a wee bit, i reported all the posts as he was making them...isnt there a way that admins can verify/deny forum access?

Largely due to our great Tech Team and above average knowledge base of the members, we do have a good amount of silent members who join up to just read, but never post.  I am on the site 7/365, but really can only depend on our great mod team, the spam filtering of the forum, the captcha system, and the ever increasing database of ban filters I am constantly adding to.  So to approve each member is too much to add to my workload as it is.  I am in the back end everyday banning chunks before they spam though.

thank you for everything you do for this forum !!

Thanks for being a member. :)

My bill would nearly double if I switched my plans to them. Usually I get good to great connection.

The irony of being next door is what is amusing to me.

Verizon and Ma Bell are the only good choices down here on the coast, because of their mergers/buyouts in the area over the past decade and a half.

Hmmmm better MPG then the damn truck.......http://autonationfordstpetersburg.com/St-Petersburg-FL/For-Sale/Used/Porsche/Boxster/1999-White-Car/21427731/

Not looking as a trade or anything....just interested to test drive at the price.

Thoughts?

J

You couldn't afford the repair bills.

And a chick car

Test drive will make you not want it. I'd drive a turbo if it is joy ride time. :)

Honestly it was just the name and price that caught my eye. I do agree it is a chick-ish car, but with balls like these I am secure enough to drive something like that.

I am just browsing some random automotive sites for cheap used rides that could still be fun to drive to work.

As for the 'auto' thing, sorry just not a fan of stick when 1/2 your commute is in bumper to bumper interstate traffic thru down town. Just a recipe for burning out clutches quickly.

Now the ride home? At that point I'd love the a nice fast 6 speed but no dice.

Yesterday I started looking for places to put a pair of 3" FR's in the Miata. I already have a pair of Extremis, would be a pity to let them stay in a box. And there's a PPI Phantom 900.4 on ebay, damn, I need to keep my money for the registration tax.

I just can't help it sad.png Won't be as cool as in the Jeep but I WILL have some better tunes in the Miata smile.png

Fountek 89's, do it.

American drop top J.

Rag top 'stang GT or 'vette. They will be faster, less to fix and have more clout with anyone who knows. The boxer was made so rich husbands could buy their wife something without going to a different dealership.

;)

If I really wanted a sporty small car to go to work and back I'd get a Miata. I have, as well as any others here that race, seen MANY Miatas destroy other "sports cars" around a track. There is a reason why people track them. Obviously not factory but upgrades are plentiful and fairly cheap.

Gotcha. They are surprisingly slow. Like a GTI is faster kinda slow.

For right foot needs go with American V8.

You buy the boxer if you want the look and the prestige and want a vert

The look isn't bad, but its not great either.

I love the get up and go of the Tundra, but it doesn't have that 'hold on to your knickers' feel as you go around curves, since slowing down is needed due to the body roll.

Plus side is besides the semi's and lifted F250s, there isn't much on my commute that is bigger than the tundra.

Audi TT is a good option for 2 seats, looks cool, and is quick.

Feels way way way faster than a boxter.

I've had the FR88's to check for available room :P

And a set of FR89's is also here :)

But there's no way I can fit them. A-pillars are too small, impossible in the kicks considering the leg position and the dead pedal. I kind of don't want to take out the dash to install them there.

Nope, no easyout kit. I'll see who has one I can borrow tomorrow.

I have a few sets. Stop on by.

Bitch, bitch, bitch... can't say I never offered.

Again, costly repairs.

I wonder what GOOD small format tweeters I can pair up the Extremis of Mach 5 MLI with? Extremis freq response looks clean up to 5k, so I assume if I can get a pair of tweeters to dig down to 1.6-2k I'm good.

Scan D2904 or Seas Neo are about your only choices. Outside of weird I-boutique brands which have popped some XBL tweets out.

Hot dang and the D2904 is kind of unavailable new. Guess I'll have to settle for the Seas Neo and try out mach 5 vs extremis, see which is better above 1k.

I didn't mean to discredit the neo options. I just haven't played with them.

I have but was not very experienced back then. Not hinting to a discredit just hoping to be able to pair them with the Extremis.

All the people who saw the car so far were excited about the headlights. And they all laugh and say it's a tiny car.

Don't know if you guys can see this but going topless on a cold evening is probably why I caught a cold. Don't mind the mess, I only had time to remove the aluminum floor "mats" and it's still dirty.
