so im coming up on my last day at my current company of 9 years... and i get a call from my bosses brother who also owns a wrecker company ,, and he tells me that he hears im leaving  mike, and offers me a  job with im.. with a guaranteed salary and  tells me that i have always been good to his brother, and him , and that good wrecker drivers are hard to find, and he would be lucky to have me come work for him ......

 

 it was nice to hear.. because my current boss has told me " good job" maybe three times 9 years.. and i do amazing work and make him tons of money while he sleeps and bitches about me.

 

 it was nice to hear that someone  recognizes  me

no i told him thank you ,  but i have a job already , and im going to try life with out a wrecker...  but i appreciate the offer. and if i do come back to the field then i will let him know, 

 

 he told me, no problem,  lets remain friends, dont leave on bad terms i dont want you to have a bad taste in your mouth... you know as well as i do wrecker driving gets in your blood... and as we know its not for every one...    you are a wrecker operator jon, your good.  i have been doing this all my life and when you see someone that knows what there doing you keep them around.. i dont know what the hell is wrong with mike ( my boss his brother) but ill be here if you want to come back

 i start monday at LKQ  im  nervous and very exited to see what life is like outside of a tow truck! its been along time

i did see a chick but never seen a commercial !

 

 ill be doing crash part delivery for now... the great thing is there is opportunity for advancement,

 but for now  ill be on a route, delivering parts to auto repair shops and body shops.

 

 monday - friday  7- finished ( somtimes 2pm sometimes 7pm ) and any where between,

 salary plus commission

  holidays off

 401K

 bennies

HK receivers blow. I wasted money on one once. HAd several issues with it. Returned it 3 times and finally just ended up with an Onkyo.

My Integra(made by onkyo) is the best receiver I have ever had for the money. It didn't have much fancy shit on it, but it did everything well. It is now the power and management for my audio on the PC. Easiest way to have a sub and speakers hooked up.

I like Onkyo as well. Ideally I just need 5-10 channels of amplification that I could independently change inputs on. Though I probably will NEVER have 2 different inputs playing at one time. Though it would be nice to turn off some channels.

I should have read ahead.......so what is LKQ and what type of work is it? I know with wrecking traffic would get to me quick and the calls in the middle of the night. I could never do that job, I'm too drunk at night to do anything but listen to music

I've done it on some Fords.  Their processing is shit though, so it's always best to bypass this.  I don't know jack about the Vdub.  Who makes their headunits?
