I am getting tired of the debate. And it has changed my thinking. I used to think more background checks and other similar options were a good idea and now I even feel that is stupid. We have laws that we just don't enforce.

The problem is, more people are murdered with cars, and other equipment that is much more deadly. We will never require background checks for cars. Or hammers, or baseball bats.

Eliminating someones freedom, even in an effort to protect them, is 110% wrong. Especially in a country where guns kill so few people, and the places they do have any statistical relevance are poverty filled, hateful, fearful, low education, and have a lack of parenting. Put this anti gun rhetoric into education, and infrastructure and we would have a lot less problems.

I don't agree with the executive order because it is an executive order. Other than than he basically just said we need to do what we said we wuz gunna already be doin'.

What makes me sad is none of what he enacted/ordered will affect "gun violence". Just cost money. And spit in the face of the actual nuts. Not me and you nuts, but the real diller hat wearing Ted Kazinskis of the fringe. I also don't like how this hoopla about guns is so loud that the other shit slips under the radar.

Honestly a magazing or AW ban wouldn't affect my personal gun desires much. I like 1911'$ and bolt guns. But the fact it's even talked about is childish on his part.

I had real honest hope that for his second term he would get some momentum for something positive. Even if its not bipartisan, but this gun crap is fabricated. Not in the way "Sandy Hook didn't happen", but in the way that everything they are talking about changiny won't affect 99.9 or more percent of gun violence. All the 3 letter .govs can agree on is that they don't think there is a correlation between what kind, or how many guns and violence. Other than without any it cannot happen but that is an impossibility.

Especially with this whole 3d printing crap. Print you own standard 30 round magazine or receiver at home. Make an AK out of a shovel. The genie is out of the bottle. You can't cork it by telling people to ignore it.
