no, AQ/Soundqubed works with DD (His sons company) to design the subwoofers and amps. you are correct about most of the other stuff though. the earbuds however are not produced by anybody else that I could find. they seem to be specific to AQ/Soundqubed

They don't design shit btw

Started at $150, and went up until I got my Maudios. I think they are re-badged ultimate ears. They are great, durrable and sound amazing. The memory foam plugs are amazing, but if you sweat they get nasty. Silicone is your friend in the gym.

The tripple flange is king. Hence my recommendation to the etomics. Best flange design. Back in the day the 50-100 priced ones were Fucking tits. Probably have some bass now compared to then. Nothing close in overall sounding awesome untill 200 bucks

I have some triple flange hearing protection from Bruel & Kjaer and would agree they rock for sweat. I use them when doing yard work.

Any suggestions for earbuds ~$50?

I had some Denon ah-c351 that I liked, but they didn't fare well in the washing machine. Now I'm looking at the klipsch s4.

90% of the time I'll be using them when working out, so I won't be super critical about sound, but I don't want them to sound like shit either, and they need to fit snug so they don't fall out. The klipsch and denons both come with multiple size inserts.

I'm not really an earbud kinda guy, but my wife uses the Skullcandy 50/50s. They really aren't bad for 50 bucks.

Hey, that's what I bought for $5. Actually I think it was $7.99 but they do sound more than acceptable. I don't find them super comfortable but I am not the littlest guy either.

I have the Soul SL99's. I think they sound great, but I wouldn't spend $100 on earbuds ever again. It's like spending tons of money on a moped, it's not going any faster than a $5 one would.

I use $5 pieces of shit from TJ Maxx, lol. Sound as good as some SQ competitors vehicles.

:roflmao:

Just finished applying black primer to the roof of my car. I should have a new color combo very soon. Can't wait to see it.

Just finished fixing the Soundstream Granite 120.4. Just poor solder connections. Sounds really good actually.

And passive off the shelf makes it even worse

I had a convo with a man once, who shall remain nameless, but I wanted to stay passive in lieu of spending the money on an active processor. He told me he'd need my car for two weeks and about a grand for the components. He then took me to school on designing a proper passive network for the automotive environment and it's futility due to cost and in the end you're left with something marginal at best.

After a little solder, a little testing, and a cleanup

This is a little old school piece I just got from a customer. We did an upgrade on a 70 Porsche 911T Sportomatic (kinda weird tranny, but an awesome car nonetheless)

Without measurements in situ to build from futility is the right word.

IMO the system sounds like ass, but that isn't the subs fault.
