Really going with particle board?

 

I like the idea of showing people what a good install can do.

 

Cheap and stupid is the project's motto. At least for the first box I'm going with particle board. Resined inside. If I can muster 141+ with the particle board, MDF should get me closer to the goal. 

 

I'm still unsure how much cone excursion helps in getting a big score. In simulations the BTL 12 barely moves at 50Hz yet it's killer on the meter (consistent 151.4dB with 3500w). So one thing Project stupid will do is help me understand this sport some more. 

There is a correlation between peak output and excursion.  Too much or too little cone movement at the desired frequency and the driver can't build pressure effectively.

I'd rather show how install is really 90% bit then again showing that you can compete with particle.may show off his skills/port work. If so then right on, bit obviously make sure it is solid before comp.

Put it through some scanners like virus total site, but generally I just run it in a virtual machine of windows 7 (sandbox) and start packet sniffing, see if it connects anywhere and if so for what. And usually the computer will start hpopups and random site redirects.

That's all custom work.  The only Ford part I can make out that is original line is the rear tail panel. 

 

It's got a Kasse Boss 9 which is about $30K for a cheap one.

Shit, that's a Trepanier car?   It's listed as a Torino, which it has the front end, but Fairlane rear.  The roofline is more Fairlane as well.  I should know, my first car was a 69 Torino GT.
