George Zimmerman not guilty...

As soon as they asked for clarification of manslaughter and the article explained it, i had a feeling he was going to be not guilty by a long shot

Shouldn't have went to trial anyway.  Even though he was acquitted and rightfully so, it will change things for future self defense cases too I think.  The shades of gray of the public's perception has a big influence.

J - find a Nordstrom Rack. Boss/Armani/RL etc and such go for $300-400 there versus $800-1000 in the main store. Same suit too, usually just last years.

Sean must be on vacation. Can't wait to see his comments on some of these new products testing and reviews.

Had company and took the day off yesterday to do projects. Perhaps glad I haven't seen them

I thought I'd put them on the spot, but they just ignored my question altogether.

In a way I can understand. People here have knowledge or will at least try to find a knowledgeable source to help them understand.

I go to the other forum and post actual Klippel information and I get responses like "you need to send one to joe blow to test and make cool videos".

I guess you just got to cater to the different people at different places. It takes too much time and money to teach people otherwise. Although it only costs 150 bucks for Audio Precision to test an amp.

I know what you mean, and I know you have to do what sells, but what bugs me is they could have answered the question by saying we had it tested at xxx or used yyy, but they didn't because they probably just get a spec sheet from the build house, and they literally have no further knowledge of their product.

Quentin I like that you are up front and post everything. Makes me want to purchase one of your subs. I just might.

I'm waiting on confirmation on final pricing of having them assembled. I know I can sell them for $350 shipped. However it might be a bit cheaper. Big brand industry standard is 35 points of margin and that is where I'll stay at. So if the complete package costs a few dollars less then the pricing will reflect that. I'm 95 percent certain the 12 will be $325-$350 and the 15 about $20 more.

Hey Godsmack, google "Dragon Inside". I always get shit from them. Spend $400 and get a tailored, very high quality suit.

I agree, but alas, no money.  Hell, I still have to get the Gcon in something.

I do have a SQ driver (and I mean SQ) that will need an unbiased 3rd party analysis done. It will be a beta version however. Motor reaches 20% distortion at ~25mm and the suspension hits 50% compliance at ~20mm.

Everyone I know with a new diesel pickup spends ~5k every other year on maintenance.  With the reliability and power of modern gas engines, you can't get me to drive a diesel that costs that much.  One of the other shops over here has a '04? F-350 that just dropped 8k+ at the shop for getting it worked on the last two months and had to have it towed 3 times.  I know of couple more people with newer ones that drop serious coin on it on fuel injectors, controllers, glow plugs, etc, etc.

My BIL hasn't spent that on his Ford in the 7 years and 150k miles he's driven it. Not even close.

I can introduce him to many people around here who have.  smile.png

Interesting, I can introduce you to tons that haven't. Pretty much his whole "neighborhood".

His truck leads a hard life too. He doesn't ever drive it anywhere unless there is a cattle trailer or the like behind it.

I wonder if there is a difference in how to drive a diesel vs how to drive a gas engine...

I roll my box and equipment out of my old shop and into the new tomorrow. My pay increase is solid, plus my bonus schedule is extremely strong. I should be seeing a boost of roughly 30%. I am excited, to say the least. I have never made this much money, and when I was closest I was not in charge...

Good times.

Congrats ! ! !

I read several posts last night on the Lincoln board from a member who stated Flowmasters work best on pushrod motors and do not belong on OHC engines because OHC engines flow more air than any other type of engine.  He also claimed he's built hundreds of "race engines" for Mustangs and he's only 20 years old.

I'm getting sick of sitting around waiting for people to come get parts.  Be here when you tell me you will be here.  It's a pretty simple concept.

Like Directv, we'll be there sometime between 10 and 2, and we might call ahead.

Men's warehouse always has enough selection and halfway smart people to help me.

I like Ralph Lauren for affordable options. Joseph Aboud makes great budget shirts, they might make good suits. None in my size ever. What I will tell you J is that spending 600 bucks or so is just about the minimum for something you can wear regularly and be comfortable. Make sure it's all wool and feels good.

Now is that 600 if on sale or regular price? I ask because some are a nice chunk off (Donald Trump, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren) and are reduced to about 400.

Basically selling the whole weekend and part of the weekdays, worth of volume in one day feels awesome.

Nice job man.

J

My DM was in the store and I killed him in sales too. 7000 vs his 2000 or so.

BOOMSHAKALAKA

He also wanted to mention to me that he and the other DM's are looking at me for some growth opportunity. His words were "something bigger and better", and that when talking about the chance my name kept comming up.

Wooooooha!

Damn man. That is one hell of a day.

J

I always buy during a big sale. BOGO or something similar. I will look at the label on my favorite RL and tell you if there is some designation to the line. It isn't purple label, I can tell you that.

I also ended up with a shit more sales after close tonight. I did more than twice my stores goal budget in my numbers alone. About 14000-16000 myself. And another 2 for my DM.

Too bad the manager called in today. :-)

In one day I did about a week or so of business. It was a lot of good worked for sales too. No lambchops, everyone took work.

I am looking mainly at sales. But my question is should the 600 dollar min price tag be while on sale or regular price? If BOGO wouldn't that be 1200 per suit, or 300?

J

600 bucks minimum for the regular price of the suit is about the bottom that will work for me for more than a few wear/clean cycles.

So I ended up ranked 29 in the nation yesterday for volume, and basically knocked a whole week for my personal budget. Second time I have handled this.

Looking at the numbers, I had only 2/3 of the time selling last month, no inbound previous sales and I ended up still in the top 20% of volume writers for the state somehow.

My metrics are really good. I didn't know I was pumping out product at that rate. Because of my time in the special training group it made me feel like I wasn't really getting any commission and I sucked, but realistically I slaughtered it.

I also found a way to bring up my pay per item sold by adjusting how I itemize everything.
