It personally think its pretty shitty myself. The guy obviously has a budget and that budget includes sponsorship which helps pay for his product. He's already said he's open to adjusting what what he has to work with.

Its kinda like you have the newest model mustang cobra and a young kid as excited about talking to you about his 1999 v6 but he gets mocked because its not up to par. A little humility goes a long way.

I will buy that the guy has no budget. But when he is doing something that costs more......

If the guy with the V8 is trying to show the guy with the V6 how he too can get a V8 for less than the cost of the v6 is that being a prick?

Maybe I have brain damage. In my eyes Sean was helping him to spend less, and learn something and he didn't want to hear it. I must have missed something in the thread.

All I asked for was not to bad mouth people or product in my build log ... And this was about active vs passive (well, started out that way) and Quention is absolutely correct when I must go with what the sponsors want done. That's the way it is with all sponsors, you want to play their game ... Play by their rules. And I told Sean that if I need to go completely active ... No problem, I have the equipment to make it happen ...

Not once in your thread or in Q's post did it say you are bound to use something because the sponsor requires it.

I think if that was clear from the get go that you are obligated to use their products in the way they want it would have made more sense.

If you don't want that talk in your thread then don't drag it into your thread. You went out of your way to copy paste something that had nothing to do with your build. It was commentary on your attitude. So from one side of your face you spit this "don't harsh my karma bro, love it for what it is" line, but then encourage negativity and leave out important facts that your hands are tied in this if you want to keep your contract for sponsors.

Sean particularly left out the product or his feelings, yet you brought up how much he hated them more than once. Even with no comment from him.

The community isn't made better by that type of shock and awe debate. You look bad because you are trying to make it seem like everyone is attacking you. Sean was trying to help you spend less, yet you turned it into some shit about how your budget is smaller etc.

What chaps my ass, is I bet you are a really nice hard working dude who is doing something really cool with an old car. It ties in family with your dad, some cool restoration and lots of other cool things. So to hear that kind of shifty attitude and see you scramble for negative attention just because it is attention makes me sad.

...uh in MN nurses with 2 year degrees are in the top 10 income earners at the hospitals I worked for....

50+ an hour plus night shift dif, plus NSbonus, plus double time and on call hours... Yeah they do great considering the 2 year investment in school.

I do know in Texas, not so much.
