I'm calling in sick tomorrow. Time to break 3k mi for the year. 8" of fresh snow. YEAH BABY!

This snow is a fukkin nightmare for me. I am glad you will get some joy. I'm just pissed.
Yeah, well my little guy got sick so guess who has to stay home? First fucking snowfall of the winter I am in town for and I can't use it. sad.png
Booooooo... I'm sorry man.
Somehow he turned around so fast he went to daycare. Burned a tank and a half of gas. And broke an a-arm ending my day and season. Amusing since I bought new A-arms yesterday. Plan was to sell mine and not lose $$, but shit happens when you pound ditches. EPIC snow.

Good that he got better. Bummer about the a-arm.

Unmarked culvert RIGHT by a stop sign on the trail. Not so funny since it was about the only time I rode the trail today.

But I have to say, April 19th and snowmobiling right by my house ftmfw. Had to push off 14" of uber wet heavy snow from the trailer to get her loaded up. Really took a ton of effort riding in it too as it was STICKY.

And tons of HP and small lugs = trenches galore

I could wheelie on demand though, but not by lifting the front just sinking the back. If the back hooked up as it trenched she would have walked all day.

Snow was deeper than this everywhere

Wetter though too. Definitely going with a deeper lug track and some more length for next winter.

Loop on the front ski was folded over and touching the ski. Amazingly nothing broke, bend the a arm but holy hell are they tough.

What you can't see is that I am standing right by a stop sign for the trail. Culvert wasn't marked sad.png

One minute I am cruising, the next my jacket is being ripped off by my handlebars.

I'll ask him next time I see him, what you need to know?

If he knows any specific sites I could use for making plans, and any recommendations on programs, materials. Really just anything he has to offer. I've seen some using aluminum for the base, and others using wood. Perhaps wood would be good to start off with as I could adjust the spacing by drilling new holes, and after testing I could make a final version out of a small aluminum block.
