no man but i'll def get it tomorrow...

dbsupra on here is coming to help me cut and strip all the audio stuff out tomorrow.

Thanks to car audio, lol.. my wall acted as a roll cage keeping me safe in the car.

I installed the wall anchored to the frame of the car on ALL 4 sides.. The entire audio install including wood, and all factory interior is still fine and intact..

The unibody frame and air bag deployment we are sure will not please the adjuster come monday morning..

But yea, we will be out there prob all day doing this gettin pics..

Doing lots of research, apparently lots of people want my 2AZ-FE engine..

I'm seeing them sold for over $2k with close to 100k on them..

My estimated buy back is ~$1,500 unofficial so i'm gonna let it sit and start parting it out probably...

We can literally dead lift the engine out, lol..

It only weighs 248lbs..

like i always say, walled cars and heavy SPL builds should never be daily drivers.. the cars are not designed for the weight and it is UNSAFE!!

i may be the site clown/jerk off but weight and vehicles and transport is what i live.  glad your ok and no one was hurt

i think it's hard for me to explain this.. i know what u are sayin jon.. but if i could have fitted a strutted air suspension on my car.. this would have never happened..

I've been combating this shockless feeling for months being cautious of massive dips in the road but this made the cake today..

If i had suspension control.. like a stock vehicle, this wouldn't have happened.

And FYI, due to the weight of the vehicle, ~4,800lbs with me in it vs 3,400lbs stock with me in it, it probably contributed to the fact that i was lucky the car didnt flip over during the incident.  Skidding sideways at 45-60mph is bad but when hitting ground at that speed, it never once chose to lift up off the ground.

i dont want to get into a big discussion about it but your TCs curb weight is only 2,905 factory, and with it weighting 4,800lbs after your modifications of 1,895 lbs ( the weight of 11 average men) your car never stood a chance, even with the bags, anything short of totally  re placing  the entire suspension and drive train it would never be "safe" not to be a dick but the car  was doomed for failure in any daily situation  where hwy driving is done,  there is a reason why there is a GWV rating on everything, and a load limit for tires, rims  pretty much everything weight is a mother fucker. but like i said im just glad your ok.

i know there were limitations to upgrading.. etc..

I had the maximum load capacity tires on there.. 1,470lbs per wheel.. rear suspensions rated at 2500lbs.. etc..

I could counter you all night long.. i must go to sleep soon, hehe.

But, i live and sleep DIY.

This was a challenge, the challenge succeeded for months..

The reason for the incident is due to no shock suppression..

Basically, when i hit a dip, the car would bounce up n down in several intervals vs one on stock suspension.

This allows for greater error during travel from loss of traction.

It happened.. it's done.

If and when i heavily get back into audio, it will be with strutted air suspension..

I need to stay on the ground at all costs, not in the air at anytime.

Rode my first crotch rocket today. Stalled it a couple of times, but when I got the hang of it it was quite a bit of fun. Not bad for 31hp.

Now I want one. sad.png

I cannot wait until motorcycle season here finally comes. The fact that the motoGP season started last week isn't helping either.

Is it snowing in your area?

If not I don't see a reason why not to ride.

Temperature is too low, maybe, summer rubber is not as grippy in cold weather as it is in warm weather.

Temperature is too low, maybe, summer rubber is not as grippy in cold weather as it is in warm weather.

Then get some michelin road 2 or 3 tires, grip in every condition, even in rainy cold conditions. (or any other sporttouring tire)

Never had any slips in the dry with temperature to -5°C, unless going crazy in the first corner.

What type of "summer" rubber do you have?

Need a restaurant for simple eaters tomorrow. They asked for Italian, I don't eat out Italian since non fresh pasta isn't pasta and that is the norm. Any ideas?

If you we're down here yes.

I despise chain Italian food.

Agreed. I have yet to find ONE Italian food chain worth a damn. I've at least found one good Tex-Mex, American, or Chinese chain.

So which are the "good" chains?

Nothing you'd be interested in, I'm afraid. Except for Capital Grille, maybe.

Capital Grille isn't worth the $$. PF Chang's is a chain I will eat at, but only selectively from the menu.

Made a pitcher of sangria with the wifes horrible horrible HORRIBLE moscato wine. Making cocktails with the sangria some st Germaine and charged water.

WOW

this is a cocktail to remember for the summer. So good.

Pear vodka and st Germaine would be great.

Funny we drank some st germaine last night as well

sad.png i've been forced to look at ACV values, bluebook and buy back values of my vehicle today...

Wonder why that is..

Nobody was hurt.. 1 person incident.. NEVER install air suspension without some sort of shock suppression...

Lesson learned.. literally no lie.. hit a dip, bounced off the pavement @65mph, slammed back down, couldnt control, slid off pavement.. into the totaled ditch area..

Entire passenger side dented, unibody twisted, passenger air bag deployment, hood shifted..

Guaranteed totaled..

Good news-  won't have to keep putting labor into it getting it louder, lol..

Ugh.. i'll be busy making sure i'm not undercut on this insurance deal the next several days.

Going tomorrow to remove about $10k worth of stuff before Monday..

Once they get their hands on it.. i'm screwed so tomorrow is the day where i'm in destruction mode to get my property back.

That sucks, dude. Glad to hear everyone is OK though!
