From what I understand I'm going to have to let the juste wait.

The Lillian is apparently one of the best affordable Bordeauxs. But $45 a bottle isn't exactly cheep.

Of course if it doesn't have the word cab in it I am generally underwhelmed

80% of my cellar is cab. Some chardonnay, says blanc, an occasional malbec, pinot, and some odd grapes like tempranillo, mouvedre exist as well.

Chardonnays are undrinkable below 15, cabs below 10, pinot below 25, and say blanc below 8. I am always looking g for the frugal winners

I like old French wine. Hence the Bordeaux.

Fresh fruity German.

Dry yeasty champagne I like Rose champ too.

I know you find good reasonable priced wine. Hence my question.

I used to drink gallons of merlot. They seem to have changed from woody and blackberry deep flavor to tasting like juice soaked in wood.

I will also drink proseco.

I don't like sugary sweet ones, but some have a real apricot note that hits me right in the happy spot.

Matt,

You still know 100 times more about wine than I do. I would love to go take a vineyard tour to learn about it, but wine is jot something I have ever enjoyed drinking more than a glass of here and there.

Maybe I just need to move to Colorado and smoke pot.

I'm thinking about that idea.

I love or hate based on what's in it.

I don't know if pot would help. I'm not familiar with it at all or what it would do to me.
